Skiing is a lot of fun but there are many ways you can hurt yourself. Here are some tips on how to avoid skiing injuries.
- Get Fit
By training before hand, whether it be in the gym, pool or park, your body can prepare for the skiing workout. Making sure you work out all year round can minimise injury and optimise fitness.
- Let yourself fall
If you feel like you are falling let yourself fall by trying to sit down. By trying to keep yourself upright you can tear ligaments and cause more damage to yourself.
- Start off easy
Don’t take on the hardest runs if you are not at the level to be doing so.
